Our platform is the spot for early-staged artists to take their moment to shine in the spotlights. Stangen fits that profile and he has cool music to offer! Let’s talk with this musician from Norway, whose tracks are added to this year’s Sandy Toes | Chill Music playlist.

FNM: “Sander, here you are! You profile yourself as a hobby musician, but your talent clearly tells something different. Tell us your story!“
Stangen: “Thanks a lot! Well, I have been playing piano since I was a child and music has been inspiring to me, especially cheerful music! Kygo and Sam Feldt are big sources of inspiration to me. However, a friend of mine inspired me to actually produce music. Shout out to Creex! As I don’t really have the ambition to become world-famous, but I’m thankful enough to be in a position where I can make music while studying and working. My intention is only to spread happy music to make people smile!”
FNM: “How’s the feedback on your music so far?”
Stangen: “The feedback has been great! It motivates me to improve my music. I have been featured in a couple of videos with great feedback and the audience seems to have liked my music so far.”
FNM: “You’re releasing lots of cheerful music which suits our campaign very well. What’s the key to express that feel-good vibe, in your opinion?
Stangen: “The key to express a feel-good vibe is to have chord progressions consisting of mostly high energy, and uplifting progressions. However, it also depends on the ambiance and instruments you use. For example, instruments people can relate to certain summer memories, like mallets, flutes etc.”
FNM: “What’s next for you shortly?”
Stangen: “I hope I really pop up in the future, so I can potentially live off by making music. When I continue producing music, it will have a feel-good vibe for sure. Even though I have been releasing several songs this year, I aim to release a couple more in 2021 – both singles and remixes. Starting with my next single ‘For You’!”
FNM: “Interesting! So we have a scoop over here? Tell us more!”
Stangen: “That’s right! Like always, I tried to make this song sound alive as it’s about nature and love. You can hear birds chirping, and natural elements making it pretty authentic – if you ask me. During my search for inspiration on new feel-good music, I found a vocal that immediately gave me that feeling. The lyrics and the melody were catchy, and also fit the typical summer theme. The process of making the composition took only a couple of days, as I was vibing so hard with the song from the moment I tried to play a chord progression to it! It will be released very soon!”
“I’m very pleased with the progress I’ve made and hopefully I reach a larger ambience soon as I know they’re out there. Thanks for giving me a chance to tell my story.”
