‘Heaven Lights’ lets you drift off from your daily routine. Dutch record label Diepgraven Records signed a young, but very experienced producer called Jeanway. After releases on Mixmash and Quartzo, this Mexican musician chose the accessible side of electronic music. And it suits him pretty well! With ‘Heaven Lights’ he shows he learned a lot from the past years of making different styles and releasing music on other labels.
With seven releases in 2019, he’s definitely on a roll. Jeanway’s last release was pretty much a bass-house record. He says that he’s searching for his own sound, something every producer needs to face. “When I was making ‘Heaven Lights, I wanted to make more chill and tropical. All tracks I make are part of creating the unique “Jeanway” style.”
That’s exactly why this song is sort of an achievement for all his work over the past years. Jeanway likes the mid-tempo vibes, but he thinks he’s not done yet. “It’s a long journey to find my own style, but I think I’m going to create more tracks like this. That’s why ‘Heaven Lights’ means a lot to me.” You need to choose the right elements for the track and the vocals at the same time. “The vocals I’ve chosen fit with the atmosphere of the track and the actual moment in my life.”
It sounds good to us that Jeanway feels comfortable with this kind of music. First and for most, it’s important that he produces the stuff he likes the most. And all good things will follow. He’s on the right track, let’s continue this!
